Canada Fluorspar Inc.’s St. Lawrence fluorspar project is located next to St. Lawrence, Newfoundland and Labrador, approximately 340 km southwest of St. John's. St. Lawrence is a small fishing village with a rich history of fluorspar mining stretching back to the 1930’s. Our operations at the St. Lawrence fluorspar project include resource extraction, mineral processing, port services and site management infrastructure designed to meet modern safety and environmental standards.
We continue to build on the region’s long mining history while applying contemporary operational oversight and compliance practices.
St. Lawrence Project
Our operations are located in the St. Lawrence region on the Burin Peninsula of Newfoundland and Labrador — a district with a long history of fluorspar production.
The project includes extraction areas, processing facilities, and supporting infrastructure necessary for safe and efficient operations.
Processing & Infrastructure
The site includes crushing, milling, and concentration facilities designed to produce high-grade fluorspar suitable for global markets.
Infrastructure includes:
- Site access roads
- Water management systems
- Tailings management facilities
- Environmental monitoring systems
Blue Beach Marine Terminal
Canada Fluorspar Inc. owns and operates the Blue Beach Marine Terminal, together with a dedicated barge located approximately 6 kilometres from its processing facility. The Blue Beach Marine Terminal benefits from year-round ice-free access and is not affected by iceberg activity. Combined with its proximity to a naturally sheltered deep-water harbour, this strategic infrastructure enables CFI to efficiently load and ship both aggregates and fluorspar to domestic and international markets throughout the year, ensuring reliable 365-day access to global customers.
